In 2016, marking their 41st year, Iron Maiden released their 16th studio album and embarked on a global tour titled The Book of Souls World Tour. "Ed Force One" carried the flight crew, band members, production team, and dozens of tons of stage equipment across six continents. It flew to 98 cities in 39 countries, delivering 117 shows and drawing millions of fans to experience this wildly ecstatic heavy metal feast.
The livery of "Ed Force One" featured the Iron Maiden band logo and the name of The Book of Souls World Tour. The nose of the aircraft listed all the tour destinations, while the tail wing boasted a massive, striking image of their mascot Eddie's head — it was absolutely bad-ass!
